McKinsey Digital Hackathon
Guided engineers and data scientists through design thinking for mobile app gamifying community engagement
1st in category 2nd place overall
Overview
I had the incredible opportunity to participate in McKinsey & Company's 24-hour Digital Hackathon – the very first one in North America! I'm thrilled to announce that our team won for our NGO, Central Park Conservancy, and placed 2nd overall.
Background
Central Park Conservancy was looking for a way to increase brand awareness and revenue through a gamification-based digital solution. Our team spent 24 hours empathizing with both CPC and Central Park visitors, defining our scope and user goals, ideating and prioritizing potential solutions, and creating both a high-fidelity Figma version and a coded version of our final solution.
Have to shout out my amazing team members – Shivam Kumar, Wenyan Zhang, Siqi (Birdy) Liu, and Gaurav Kulkarni. I was so lucky to be blessed with such passionate, curious, and fun-loving teammates. It was a pleasure working alongside each one of you, and I'm grateful for all the laughs we shared along the way.
